Wilma Shepherd

Wilma G. Shepherd, 89, of Norris City went home to her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ at 3:30 a.m., Monday, August 6, 2012 at VNA Charlier Hospice Center in Evansville, IN. Wilma was born July 18, 1923 in Norris City the daughter of Harry and Clarissa (Henson) Bolerjack. She married George Warner Shepherd on May 14, 1943 and he preceded her in death on June 8, 1996. Wilma retired in 1979 after 21 years from Ainsbrook Garment Factory in Carmi. She was a member of the Norris City Church of God where she had taught Sunday School for many years and most recently had been attending Crossroads Bible Church.

Wilma is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Virginia "Ginny" Bryant of Norris City and Nancy and Keith Heron of Bushnell, IL; a step-daughter, Annetta Coleman of Petersburg, IN; a step-son and daughter-in-law, George Robert and Gail Shepherd of Petersburg, IN; a sister, Margie Jamerson of Joliet, IL; four grandchildren, Shari Bryant and Kari and Kevin Kirsch all of Evansville, IN, Randall and Christina Heron of Brownsburg, IN and Rhonda and Ken Van Tine of Bushnell, IL; three step-grandchildren, Becky and Tim Blaize, Steven and Keila Shepherd and Chris Coleman all of Petersburg, IN and several great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy Desper, a brother, Eugene Bolerjack and a great-grandson, Izrael Kirsch.

Funeral Services for Wilma G. Shepherd, 89, of Norris City will be Thursday, August 9, 2012 at 11:00 am at Campbell Funeral Home in Norris City. Burial will be in the Union Cemetery in Norris City. Friends may call on Wednesday from 5:00 pm until 7:00pm and Thursday from 10:00am to 11:00am at Campbell Funeral Home.
