Wilma Joyner, 100, of Norris City passed away Monday, January 16, 2012 at 8:05 pm at Wabash Christian Retirement Center in Carmi. She was born July 11, 1911 in White County, Il, the daughter of Anderson and Flossie (Johnson) Willis. Wilma married Louis Kermitt Joyner who preceded her in death on October 9, 1988. She had worked as a cook at Kings Confectionary.

Wilma is survived by a son, Ronnie Thurman of Norris City; two granddaughters, Kristina Mary Bishop and her husband Stony and Constance Jean Hernandez and her husband Jerad; six great-grandchildren, Alexia Chyenne, Jesse James, Presleigh and Sawyer Bishop and Chloe and Aiden Hernandez and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Lois Aud and Evelyn Willis and two brothers, Junior and Braden Willis.

Funeral services for Wilma Joyner, 100, of Norris City, will be held Thursday, January 19, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at .Campbell Funeral Home in Norris City with Revs. Braden Willis, Jr. and Clint Willis officiating.. Burial will be in I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Norris City. Friends may call on Wednesday, from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at Campbell Funeral Home in Norris City.
