Wilma Joyce Heriges, 81 of Mt. Vernon passed away Thursday April 30, 2015 at the Ford Home in New Harmony. She was born April 4, 1934 in New Haven, IL the daughter of Clarence Ted and Erma (Wilsey) Parker. She married Louis Coleman Heriges on December 2, 1950 at Henderson, KY.
Wilma enjoyed playing Bunco and Bingo. She was a member of the Mt. Vernon First Baptist Church.
She is survived by two sons, Bruce (Gail) Heriges of Lafayette and Keith (Jan) Heriges of Mt. Venron; her daughter, Lisa (Andy) White of Mt. Vernon; nine grandchildren, Erin Kuhn, Amanda Gentry, Jacob Heriges, Christopher Heriges, Laura Lowery, Joshua Hamblin, ,Adam, Alex , and Aric White; nine great-grandchildren, Dalton and Dillon Kuhn, Kelsey Lowery, Carter, Alexis, Grace and Colton Heriges, Elias and Isabella Gentry; brothers, Don Parker of Wadesville, Glenn (Vonda) Parker of Poseyville and Steve (Mary Lou) Parker of New Hamony; sister, Sara (Jim) Foster of Hammond; a sister-in-law, Jean Parker of New Harmony. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and three brothers, John, Ted and Clarence Gilbert Parker.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday May 4, 2015 at the Stendeback Family Funeral Home at 1330 E. 4th St., Mt. Vernon with Rev. Derrick Ousley officiating.
