Wilma Lee Jackson Curtis, age 92 of Mt. Vernon, IN died Monday evening February 22, 2010 at the Mt. Vernon Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was born November 4, 1917 in Fairfield, IL, the daughter of William Henderson and Lula Vicy Adeline (Hanes) Jackson. She first married William Parson and later married Dalton Curtis.
Mrs. Curtis was a homemaker and a member of Harvestime Temple Church in Mt. Vernon.
She is survived by one daughter, Juanita June Parson Hargrove of Mt. Vernon; seven grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and thirteen great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husbands; one daughter, Norma Jean Curtis; one brother, Hayward Jackson and two sisters, Faye Jackson and Goldie Jackson.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday February 26, 2010 at the Austin~Stendeback Family Funeral Home at 1330 E. 4th St., Mt. Vernon, IN with Mark Tabor officiating.
