Wilma Bayley

     Wilma Bayley, 89, of Carmi, passed away on Tuesday, April 25, 2023, at Wabash Christian Village. She was born on October 24,1933, in Herald Prairie Township, Illinois, the daughter of Lowry Hinch and Etta (Mount) Bayley. Wilma worked at various retail stores locally, including Sears, CVS, and the Money Stretcher. She attended the Presbyterian Church as well as McHenry Good News Chapel. Wilma enjoyed being outdoors. She liked to go fishing, boating, and going to the beach. She loved to dance, but most of all, she loved spending time with her family.

    Wilma is survived by her children, Curtis (Anita) Campbell of Evansville, IN. and Paula (Roger) Smith of Omaha, IL; five grandchildren, Randy (Kristy) Vickers, Barbara Vickers, Victoria Vickers, K.C. (Stacee) Campbell, and Zach (Kenzie) Campbell; 12 great-grandchildren, Mallory (Jeremy) Gibbons, Mitchell Vickers, Emma Vickers, Trayton Vickers, Tori Vickers, Gavin Peyton, Cody (Courtney) Johnson, Baley Fulkerson, J.W. Abell, Klayton (Joselyn) Campbell, Emerson Grace Campbell and Jackson Brooks Campbell; seven great-great-grandchildren, Macilynn, Jocelyn. Cade, Jaylee, Delyla, Kenna and Cash; siblings, L.H. (Dianne) Bayley of Indianapolis, IN, and Ruth South of California.  She is preceded in death by her parents, and two brothers, Frank Bayley and George Curtis Bayley.

     Funeral services for Wilma Bayley will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 29, 2023, at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi, with burial at Union Ridge Cemetery in Norris City, Illinois.  Family and friends may visit from 10:00 a.m. until time of service on Saturday April 29,. 2023, at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi.  In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Wilma's memory to the Supportive Living of Wabash Activity Fund and will be accepted at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi, who is in charge of arrangements.
