William Terrell

William J. Terrell, 70 of Enfield, died Thursday morning October 17, 2013 at Deaconess Gateway Hospital. He was born on May 23, 1943 in Madisonville, KY the son of Robert and Evelyn (Seymore) Terrell.

Mr. Terrell had worked at Island Creek Coal Company in Kentucky for 32 years. He was a Vietnam Army Veteran. He belonged to Ashland Christian Church.

He is survived by five sons and a daughter-in-law, William & Beverly Terrell, Jr. of Enfield, Elvis Poe of Clay, KY, Kenneth Poe of Dixon, KY, David Poe of Ocala, FL, Donald Poe of Providence, KY; two daughters, Joyce McCandless of Drakesboro, KY and Mary Poe of Providence, KY; one brother, Kenneth Terrell of Hansen, KY; two sisters, Karen Lewis of Madisonville, KY and Sandy Dierlem of Evansville, IN; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Ellen Cobb.

Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday October 20, 2013 at Enfield Cemetery with Rev. Braden Willis officiating. Military rites will be conducted by the Carmi American Legion and V.F.W. No visitation will be held, family and friends are ask to meet at the cemetery. The Stendeback Family Funeral Home in Enfield is in charge of arrangements.
