William Heads

William Heads, 84, of Carmi passed away at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, on Thursday morning, August 25, 2016. He was born on April 1, 1932 in Missouri, the son of Wesley and Pauline (Pounds) Heads. He married Edith Jackson and she preceded him in death in 1994.
Mr. Heads had worked at A1 Electric, was a janitor at CWCHS, local grave digger, and mowed yards. He loved being outside.
He is survived by sons, William Heads, Jr., Gary Heads and Kelly Heads, all of Carmi; daughters, Pam Heads of Carmi, and Connie (George) Edwards of Muddy; 3 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; and sister, Betty Pealer of Missouri. He was preceded in death by brothers, Robert Heads and Henry Heads, and sisters, Cynthia Boyer, Gladys Robinson, Louise Masters, and May Briggs.
Funeral services will be held at Noon on Saturday, August 27, 2016 at Stendeback Family Funeral Home in Carmi. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will be in North Maple Ridge Cemetery. Online condolences may be left at stendebackfamilyfuneralhome.com
