Wanda McNear

Wanda L. McNear, 81, of Norris City passed away at 7:30 a.m., Tuesday, December 13, 2016 at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, IN. She was born in Cave-in-Rock, IL on August 12, 1935 the daughter of Lawrence and Edith (Burklow) Lane. Wanda had worked as an aide in various nursing homes and in home health. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Norris City.
She is survived by a daughter, Sharon Terry of Norris City; two sons and daughters-in-law, John and Vicky McNear of Pana, IL and Robert and Tamela McNear of Norris City; three brothers, J.C. Lane, Don Lane and Jim Lane all of Elizabethtown, IL; four sisters, Mary Barnes of Elizabethtown. IL, Opal Fields of Junction, IL, Jackie Moore of Rosiclaire, IL and Judy Kay Bill of Harrisburg, IL; six grandchildren, Wesley and Veronica McNear, Lacy and Aaron Wilson, Logan and Laura McNear, Michael and Rachel Sanders, Scottie and Jennifer Parkhurst and Tabitha Terry; and eleven great-grandchildren. Wanda was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence and Edith Lane, her daughter, Wilma McNear, her brother, Bill Lane, and her two sisters, Anna Mae Carter and Wilma McBride.
Services will be private with burial in Lane Cemetery in Hardin Co, IL. Campbell Funeral Home in Norris City is in charge of arrangements.
