Wanda Ames

Wanda Mae Ames, 59, of Evansville, IN, died Monday, October 24, 2005 at her home. She was born August 25, 1946 in Mt. Vernon, IN daughter of Otto E. and Frances E. (Irwin) Bridges. Wanda worked at GE Plastics in Mt. Vernon Prior to her retirement in 2004.
Wanda is survived by her husband of 22 years, Stan Ames of Evansville, IN.; her daughter, Lori Michelle Carlisle and her husband, Dave of Evansville, IN; her son, Jerry Ray Thomas and his wife, Amy of Evansville; a brother, Larry Bridges of Mt. Vernon and a sister, Evelyn Dissler of Evansville, IN; 3 grandchildren, Jamie, Zachery and Trevor Thomas, and several Nieces and Nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM, Thursday, October 27, 2005, at Austin Funeral Home, 1330 East Fourth Street, Mount Vernon, IN., with burial in the Bellefontaine Cemetery in Mt. Vernon. Friends may call from 3 to 8 pm on Wednesday, October 26, at the funeral home.
Memorial Contributions may be made to the Posey County Humane Society or the American Cancer Society.
