Walter Wasson

Walter “Gene” E. Wasson, 79, of Wadesville, Indiana died Wednesday, August 8, 2007 at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville.

Gene was born April 11, 1928 in Posey County to the late George & Olive Wasson. He was a 1946 graduate of New Harmony High School and was a self employed farmer. Gene attended New Harmony Christian Church, he was a lifetime member of BPOE #277, a member of the Masonic Grand Lodge #394, a member of the Order of Scottish Rite and was on the Hadi Shrine Motor Patrol.

Gene is survived by his wife of 58 years, Phyllis (Fox)

Madison and Megan Simpson

Bill Fox and wife, Jan of Robinson, IL

Funeral Services will be 2:00 pm, Sunday, August 12, 2007 at Austin Funeral Home, 1330 E. 4th Mt. Vernon, Indiana with Reverend Dallas Robinson officiating. Burial will be in Old Beech Cemetery.

Friends may call 4 pm until 8 pm, Saturday, August 11, 2007, at the funeral home.
