Virginia Chapman, 72, of Norris City passed away at 5:55 p.m., Saturday, September 19, 2015 at her residence. She was born January 17, 1943 in Norris City the daughter of Claude and Lois Marie (Bryant) Brooks. Virginia married Noble Dean Chapman and her preceded her in death on March 6, 2010. She had been an in home caregiver and a housewife. Virginia loved her dogs, to garden and being outdoors.
She is survived by two sons, Jeff and Greg Zoph; a step-son, Kerry Chapman; a step-daughter, Deana Chapman; four sisters, Marilyn James and husband Donald of Norris City, Dorothy Brown of Carmi, Linda Smith of Crossville and Betty Martin and husband John of Lakeland, FL; three brothers, Dennis Brooks and wife Becky of Norris City, Allen Brooks and wife Glenda of McLeansboro and Steven Brooks of Muddy; one grandson; and several nieces and nephews whom she dearly loved.
Virginia was preceded in death by her parents, husband; three sisters, Jean Campbell, Fay Drone and Carol Brooks; and a brother, Raymond "Joe" Brooks.
Funeral services for Virginia Chapman, 72, of Norris City will be at 12:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 23, 2015 at Campbell Funeral Home in Norris City. Burial will be in Powell Cemetery in Norris City. Friends may call at Campbell Funeral Home in Norris City on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until service time at noon.
