Viola Meadors-Ridens

Viola Meadors-Ridens, 92 of Crossville, Illinois died Sunday, January 13, 2008 at the home of her son, John Meador.

Viola was born April 29, 1915 in Morganfield, Kentucky to her late parents, Emmett and Cassie Blackburn. She had worked in farming and was a member of Crossville Missionary Baptist Church.

Viola’s family would like to thank Shirly, Tamiko, Nancy and Tammie of the Deaconess Hospice team for their wonderful care of Viola.

She is survived by her sons,
John E. Meador of Mt. Vernon, IN
Paul E. Meadors of Punkin Run, IN

A stepdaughter, Margret Pierce of Mt. Vernon, IN
A stepson,Henery John Feldman of Crossville, IL

Nine Grandchildren, twenty- seven great-grandchildren and
four great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by,
Her parents, her brothers, Alburtis Blackburn formerly of Morganfield, KY,
Curtis Blackburn formerly of Mt. Vernon, IN, her sisters, Martha Jones formerly of Morganfield, KY and Matilda Cox formerly of Mt. Vernon, IN.

Funeral Services will be 10 am, Wednesday, January 16, 2008 at Austin Funeral Home, 1330 E. 4th Mt. Vernon, Indiana with Reverend Matthew Watson officiating. Burial will be in Black Cemetery.

Friends may call 4 pm until 8 pm, Tuesday, January 15, 2008, and from 8 am until service time, Wednesday, January 16, 2008 at the funeral home.
