Vaudie Lee (Foley) Dosher, 92, of Enfield, passed away on Wednesday, August 3, 2022, at Enfield Rehab and Health Care Center. She was born on February 20, 1930, in Hamilton County, near Springerton, the daughter of Luther Ray and Clemie J. (York) Foley. Vaudie married Bill Dosher on December 17, 1948, and he preceded her in death on September 25, 1986. She worked as a nurse at the Hamilton County Hospital for many years. Vaudie was a member of the Enfield Christian Church for 70 years. She was the past leader of the Enfield Blue Ribbon 4-H club and was a member of the Enfield Women's Spirit of Progress Club, the Republicans Women organization, and the Red Hatters. Vaudie loved spending her time gardening.
Vaudie is survived by her sons, Richard Dosher of Carmi, IL, and David Dosher of Enfield, IL; grandchildren, Kyle (Christina) Dosher of Enfield, IL, Michael (Chrissy) Serafini of Carmi, IL, Ashley Dosher of Carmi, IL, and Adam Dosher of Carmi. IL; two great-grandchildren, Addison and Colette Garner of Carmi, IL; a sister, Rose Stewart of Enfield, IL; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, Bill Dosher, Vaudie is preceded in death by her parents; an infant son, Ronald Dosher; a grandchild, Kerri Dosher; siblings, Ruby Lewis, Marjorie Foglesinger, Florence Foley, James Foley and Ross Foley.
Funeral services for Vaudie Lee Dosher, will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, August 8, 2022, at Stendeback Funeral Home in Enfield, Illinois with burial Enfield Cemetery following. Family and friends may visit from 11:00 a.m. until time of service at Stendeback Funeral Home in Enfield, Illinois. Stendeback Funeral Home in Enfield, Illinois is in charge of arrangements.
