Valerie Carter

Valerie Anne (Heil) Carter, 60, of Carmi went home to celebrate Christmas with Jesus on December 18, 2014 at 3:20 p.m. She was born on August 21, 1954 to George "Gene" and Barbara (Moore) Heil. Valerie worked at Booth School in Enfield for 29 years and also worked at Wal-Mart for 16 years. She was a member of Zion United Methodist Church. Valerie was a loving daughter, mother and grandma (Mama). Her grandchildren were the center of her world.
Valerie is survived by a daughter, Jennifer (Justin) Carter-James and a son, Jason (Amber) Carter and three grandchildren, Jace, Kaden and Kinley Carter all of Carmi; her father, Gene Heil of Carmi; two brothers, Jim (Nancy) Heil of Melbourne, FL and Jeff Heil of Carmi; a special niece, Pam (Kevin) Hammell and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services for Valerie Anne (Heil) Carter, 60, of Carmi will be at 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, December 23, 2014 at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi with Rev. Van Scott officiating. Burial will be in Centerville Cemetery near Carmi. Friends may call at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi on Monday from 5:00 p.m until 8:00 p.m.
