Timothy R. Koontz, 60 of Mt. Vernon, passed away Thursday June 22, 2017 at Charlier Hospice in Evansville. He was born May 28, 1957 in Carmi, the son of Frank and Mary (Swain) Koontz.
Tim was a longtime employee at Omni Plastics in Evansville. He was a member of several local service clubs and loved to fish.
He is survived by his children, Jerrod, Courtney and Hannah Koontz; grandchildren, Kaden and Jaxen; brothers, Donald and Kenny Koontz and Gary Swain; sisters, Debbie (Tim) King and Angie (James) Wyant.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday June 25, 2017 at the Stendeback Family Funeral Home at 1330 E. 4th St., Mt. Vernon, IN. Visitation will be one hour prior. Online condolences may be left at stendebackfamilyfuneralhome.com
