Thomas D. Muse

      Thomas D. Muse, 77, of Carmi passed away on Tuesday, January 24, 2023 at Wabash Christian Village in Carmi.  He was born in Highland, IL the son of Dorsey S. and Betty (McNeill) Muse on June 10, 1945.  Tom  worked in the oil industry and retired from AB Oil. He had also operated Muse Trucking.  Tom was a member of First United Methodist Church in Carmi, the Carmi Elks Lodge, American Legion and  VFW. He enjoyed boating and spending time with friends and family. Tom faithfully served his country by joining the US Army during the Vietnam War.

    Tom is survived by his mother, Betty Brown of Carmi; a niece, Bree Muse of Ocala, FL; and a nephew, Chad Brown of Carmi. He was preceded in death by his father, a daughter, Alexis Nicole Muse in 1972 and two brothers, David and Kirk Muse.

     Funeral services for Thomas D. Muse, 77, of Carmi will be held at 12:00 p.m., Saturday, January 28, 2023 at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi. Burial will follow in White County Memorial Garden with full military honors by the Carmi American Legion and VFW.  Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 28, 2023 from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi. Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi is in charge of arrangements.
