Steve Cox

Steve Alan Cox, 26 of Mt. Vernon died on Wednesday morning June 4, 2008 in Posey County. He was born on July 30, 1981 in Evansville, IN, the son of Terry Cox and Teresa VanZant.

Steve was employed at WSI Pallet Shop in Mt. Vernon. He belonged to the Moose Lodge in Mt. Vernon. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed camping.

He is survived by his father, Terry Cox of Mt. Vernon; his mother, Teresa VanZant of Mt. Vernon; one daughter, Kyli Gross of Mt. Vernon; paternal grandmother, Marge Cox of Mt. Vernon; maternal grandparents, Bob and Brenda VanZant of Mt. Vernon; two brothers, Scott Cox and Sean Cox, both of Mt. Vernon; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, June 7, 2008 at Point Township Church of the Nazarene. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be in Black Cemetery in Mt. Vernon. Immediately after the interment, dinner will be served at the Point Township Church Life Center. All family and friends are encouraged to attend.
