Stanley Wayne Healy, of Enfield, made 92 trips around the sun and passed away on Sunday, May 4, 2014 at his residence. He was born June 26, 1922 in Carmi, IL, the son of Nelson and Laura Catherine (Lamp) Healy. Stanley married the love of his life, Wanda Joyce Wylie on February 5, 1946 and after 63 years together, she preceded him in death on February 9, 2009. He was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII, serving in the 251st Station Hospital. Stanley was a farmer, raised livestock and worked in the oilfields as a derrick hand. He had a great love for animals and poetry and wrote poems for his girls. Stanley was of Baptist faith and was baptized at West Union Church. He was a 50 year member of the Masonic Lodge #677.

He is survived by four daughters and three sons-in-law, Linda Jane and Steve Griffin and Frances Jean and Mike Frymire all of Enfield, Patricia Ann Healy and Barbara Jo and Jim Stephens all of Hernando, FL; seven grandchildren, Michael (Angela) Howard, Angela Thomas, Rachel (Terrence) Anderson, Mark Frymire, Ryan (Lana) Frymire, Sarah (Chris) Bridleman and James Patrick Stephens; twelve great-grandchildren; and nephews, Ben and John Healy and Tim Brown . He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; a sister, Leda Nell Brown; a brother, Fred Healy; and a niece, Janet Hardin.

Graveside funeral and burial services for Stanley Wayne Healy, 91, of Enfield, will be held onTuesday, May 6, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Bruce Chapel near Carmi with Marty Lamp officiating and Military Rites by the Carmi VFW and American Legion. Friends may call on Tuesday, from 11:00 a.m. until time of service at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi who is in charge of arrangements.
