Stanley Hays

Stanley Dale Hays, 52, of Carmi passed away Friday, February 22, 2013. He was born December 11, 1960 in Carmi, IL the son of Virgil E. and Nancy L. (Ziegler) Hays. Stan was know as Pete by his friends. He grew up in Carmi and graduated in 1978 from Carmi High School and a member of Walnut Grove Missionary Baptist Church.
Stan is survived by his parents, Virgil and Nancy Hays of Carmi; a sister, Cindy Effinger of Carmi; a brother and sister-in-law, David and Andrea Hays of Norris City; and two special people, his niece Erin Hays and nephew Alex Effinger.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Erwin and Grace Ziegler and Earl and Margaret Hays.
Graveside funeral services and burial for Stanley Hays, 52, of Carmi will be at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, February 28, 2013 at West Union Cemetery near Carmi with Mike Fields officiating. Friends are asked to meet at the cemetery.
