Sherry Lynn "Sam" Castic

      Sherry Lynn “Sam” (James) Castic, 64, Carthage, Missouri, passed away early Sunday morning, December 10, 2023, at her home. She was born February 16, 1959, in Carmi, Illinois, the daughter of Charles James and Linda (Daniel) Trout. She married Robert “BJ” Castic on December 1, 1977, in Miami, Florida. Sam loved to paint and enjoyed gardening.

      Survivors include her husband BJ, her children, Shawn (Ashley) Castic, Jayma Castic, Andrea (Josh) Kirby, and Nathan Naney; mother, Linda Trout; five brothers, Jeff Trout, Robert James, Terry Trout, Dennis Baker, and Ray Trout; and five grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her stepfather, Oscar Trout, father, Charles James, and brothers, David James and Randy James.

      Services for Sherry Lynn “Sam” (James) Castic were held on Wednesday, December 13, 2023, at Knell Mortuary in Carthage, Missouri.
