Sharon Carter

Sharon Carter, 60, of Carmi, passed away on Monday, December 28, 2015 at 11:05 p.m. at St. Louis University Hospital in St. Louis, MO. She was born on June 4, 1955 in Detroit, MI, the daughter of Robert and Doris (Eck) Ross. Sharon married Keith Carter on August 28, 1971 and was a homemaker. She was a member of the Carmi American Legion and VFW Auxillary.

Sharon is survived by her husband of 44 years, Keith of Carmi; a daughter, Tina Carter of McLeansboro; a son and daughter-in-law, K.J. and Ashley Carter of Ft. Wayne, IN; a sister and brother-in-law, Bonnie and Jim Earl of Fairfield; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Stan Ross of Carmi and Robert A. and Donna Ross of Evansville, IN; four grandchildren, Sonja (Aaron) Healy, Hayley, Kaleb and Addyson Carter; one great-granddaughter, Ashlyn Healy and another on the way; and her number one niece, Felicia (Justin) Owen. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral services for Sharon Carter, 60, of Carmi, will be held on Saturday, January 2, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi with Pastor Leo Hall officiating. Burial will be in Enfield Cemetery in Enfield. Friends may call on Friday, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Campbell Funeral Home.
