Shari Jo Hogue

      Shari Jo Hogue, 58, of Carmi, passed away on Saturday, November 19, 2022.  She was born in Carmi, Illinois on June 15, 1964, the daughter of Paul and Lucille Lorine (Sexton) Hogue.  Shari worked at Wabash Christian Village for 17 years as a Dietary Aide.  She was a yellow belt in Taekwondo, and attended classes at the Carmi Taekwondo Center.  Shari also attended wrestling school and went by the name of Starlight.

     Shari is survived by her children, Shawna Russell of Carmi, IL, and Zach (Maria Alba) Hogue of Harrisburg, IL; grandchildren, Nicole and Corvin "Smiley"; siblings, Anthony Scott Hogue of Carmi, IL, Lucretia Ann Norman of Crossville, IL, Vicky Lynn Flowers of Carmi, IL, James Hogue of Harrisburg, IL, Paula K. Palmer of Carmi, IL, Karla Gay Taylor of Carmi, IL, Paul Hogue Jr. of Carmi, IL, Margaret Elizabeth Winfrey of Grain Valley, MO, and Sandra Dawn Hogue of Carmi, IL; and numerous nieces and nephews.  She is preceded in death by her parents.

     Funeral services for Shari Hogue will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 23, 2022, at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi.  Friends and family may visit from 10:00 a.m. until time of service on Wednesday, November 23, 2022, at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi with burial at Newman Cemetery in Carmi.  In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Shari's memory to Campbell Funeral Home to assist with funeral expenses. Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi is in charge of arrangements.
