Sandra Garrison

Sandra J. “Sandy” Garrison, 55, of Mt. Vernon, IN and formerly of Lafayette, died peacefully in her sleep at 4:45 a.m. Monday, June 9, 2014 at the Mt. Vernon Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Mt. Vernon, IN. Born August 18, 1958 in Lafayette, she was the daughter of the late Chester T. Garrison and Vera Louise (Watkins) Garrison Minick.

Sandy graduated from Fountain Central High School and was a homemaker.

Sandy is survived by her daughter, Desiree Garrison and 5 grandchildren, all of Orlando, FL, a sister, Debbie Lowery of Mt. Vernon, IN, two brothers, Mike Garrison (wife, Angie) of Lafayette and Allen Garrison of Indianapolis, IN, and several nieces and nephews. Sandy was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Margaret Finney, and her step-father, Angus Minick.

Visitation from 1:00 p.m. Friday until the service at 2:00 p.m. Friday in Simplicity Funeral Care, Lafayette., with Celebrant Chris Dodson officiating. Entombment to follow at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens. The Stendeback Family Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
