Sandra Blake

Sandra Blake, 60, of Carmi passed away Friday, February 8, 2013 at 5:21 p.m. at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, IN. She was born March 12, 1952 in Washington, IN the daughter of Robert and Marcenia (Ingler) McCandless. Sandra married Mark W. Blake on September 27, 1974. She worked as a CNA and took care of her grandchildren. She was a member of Freedom Chapel Church.

Sandra is survived by her husband of 38 years, Mark of Carmi; three daughters and sons-in-law, Marcenia and Wesley Phillips of Enfield, Felicia and Phillip Lowery and Melissa and Scott Kittinger all of Carmi; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Keith and Sarah Russell of Carmi and Dennis Russell of Indianapolis, IN; a sister, Mary Hill of Butler, IN; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Bobbie Joe and Linda McCandless of Petersburg, IN and Steve and Teresa McCandless of Haysville, IN; 13 grandchildren, Jake, Harvick and Jadea Russell, Alec Burton, Torie Cohoon, Lain Stocke, Jessica and Tyler Phillips, Taylor and Lincoln Lowery, Hunter and Trenton Welch and Fallon Kittinger; and two great-grandchildren, Mason Brinkley and River Chaney.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert McCandless and Marcenia Abell.

Funeral Services for Sandra Blake, 60, of Carmi will be Tuesday, February 12, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi with Chris Pollard officiating. Burial will be in Melrose Cemetery in Carmi. Friends may call at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi on Monday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the family to help with expenses and will be accepted at the funeral home.
