Sallie Fechtig

Sallie K. Fechtig, 89, of Mesa, AZ passed away at 5:30 a.m., Wednesday, March 5, 2014 at Springdale Village in Mesa, AZ. She was born August 24, 1924 in Niantic, IL the daughter of John F. and Lavada (Dockens) Kitch. Sallie married Ernest E. Fechtig on April 12, 1945 and he preceded her in death on February 26, 1982. She had retired as Vice President of Enfield Bank. Sallie was a member of Broadway Christian Church in Mesa and had previously attended First Christian Church in Carmi and Enfield Christian Church.

She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Judy and Lewis Greer of Gilbert, AZ; a son and daughter-in-law, Jim and Lynda Fechtig of Mesa, AZ; two grandchildren, Tammy Jimenez and Angie Fechtig; three great-grandchildren, Jasmine and Josie Jimenez and Camden Allen; a sister, Eleanor J. Hall of St. Louis, MO; and a brother, Kenneth Kitch of San Francisco, CA. She was preceded in death a brother John F. Kitch, Jr. and a great-grandson, Dayton Underwood.

Funeral Services for Sallie K. Fechtig, 89, of Mesa, AZ will be at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, March 12, 2014 at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi with Lewis Greer officiating. Burial will be North Maple Ridge Cemetery in Carmi. Friends may call at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi on Tuesday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
