Ruth Jackson

Ruth Ellen Jackson, 70, of New Berlin, IL passed away at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield, IL on September 23, 2016. She was born on June 25, 1946 in Paris, IL, the daughter of Louis Lee and Rosetta Pearl (Crunk) Asbury. She married Larry Dale Jackson on October 8, 1971 in Shawneetown and he preceded her in death on December 20, 2000.
She is survived by sons, Alvin Kauffman of Norris City and John David Asbury of Paris; daughters, Tammy Dixon of Thayer, IL and Debra Schmitz and Angella Koons, both of Springfield; 12 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; brother, Harold Dean Asbury of Dennison, IL and sisters, Rosie Johnson of Norris City and Connie Vice of West Frankfort. She was preceded in death by sister, Pearletta.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, September 28, 2016 at Stendeback Family Funeral Home in Carmi. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. on Tuesday, September 27, 2016. Burial will be in Maple Ridge Cemetery. Online condolences may be left at stendebackfamilyfuneralhome.com
