Ruth Blazier

Ina Ruth Blazier, 78 of Decatur and formerly of Carmi, died Thursday afternoon January 23, 2014 at Decatur Memorial Hospital. She was born March 25, 1935 at Livingston, TN the daughter of General Houston and Maude M. (Reagen) Jackson. She married Carl Blazier on March 4, 1961 in Carmi.

Ruth along with her husband Carl own several business's in the Pana and Decatur area. She loved her family.

She is survived by her husband, Carl; 3 daughters, Sherry (Karl) Brown of Shelbyville, Ruth Lody of Pana and Sandra Byers of Evansville; 3 sons, Steve Adams of Pana and Carl Lee Blazier of Carmi and Matthew Getz of Mt. Zion; 12 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; 1 brother, Charlie Jackson of Carmi. She was preceded in death by 1 daughter, Cathy Mae Adams and seven brothers and 3 sisters.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday January 26, 2014 at the Stendeback Family Funeral Home in Carmi with burial in Maple Ridge Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until service time. Online condolences may be left at stendebackfamilyfuneralhome.com
