Ruby Winter

Ruby Winter, 87, of Carmi passed away at 1:35 a.m., Sunday, April 19, 2015 at Wabash Christian Retirement Center in Carmi. She was born in Carmi on February 26, 1928 the daughter of Carl and Mary E. (Brown) Thompson. Ruby was a caregiver for her son, David for 60 years along with having a baking business. She was a 1948 graduate of Carmi Township High School and a member of the Carmi Church of the Nazarene.
Ruby is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and David Carter of Carmi; a grandson, Patrick Carter of Carmi; and a sister, Lena Wallace of Carmi. She was preceded in death by her son, David Winter on March 9, 2011, two sisters, Lucy Zoph and Zelma Logan and two brothers, Bill and Curtis Thompson.
Funeral Services for Ruby Winter, 87, of Carmi will be at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, April 22, 2015 at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi with Rev. Dallas Robinson and Mike Fields officiating. Burial will be in Brown Cemetery near Crossville, Friends may call on Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until service time at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi.
