Ruby James

Ruby James 86, of Carmi, passed away Sunday, July 13, 2014 at 12:04 a.m. at Hamilton Memorial Hospital in McLeansboro. She was born May 10, 1928 in White County, IL, the daughter of George and Ada (Pollard) Vaupel. Ruby married Orval T. James and he preceded her in death on September 5, 1991. She was a homemaker.
Ruby is survived by two sons, Silas and Gene Vaupel both of Carmi. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; three sisters, Louella Phillips, Bertie Hadden and Norma Curtis; and a brother, Loren Vaupel.
Graveside funeral and burial services for Ruby James, 86, of Carmi, will be held on Tuesday, July 13, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. at North Maple Ridge Cemetery in Carmi with Mike Fields officiating. There will be no visitation. Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi is in charge of arrangements.
