Ruby Aldridge

Ruby Frances Aldridge, 86, of Norris City passed away on Tuesday, July 12, 2022 at Carmi Manor in Carmi.  She was born in Muddy, IL the daughter of Willie and Mary (Bartley) Dodd. Ruby married Wilfred Aldridge and he preceded her in death in 1991.  She had worked as nurses aide, but primarily stayed at home and raised her family.

Ruby is survived by her two children, Bob (Robin) Stacy of Junction, IL and Patty (Ron) Guthrie of Norris City; siblings, Shirley Perez, Fern Stewart and Harley Dodd; four grandchildren, Penny, Ronnie, Robin and Amber; along with several great-grandchildren including Grace, Matt and Lily; and several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Jason Dodd, Robert Dodd, William Dodd, Jr., Marie Melton, Lucille Hays, Minnie Klaffen and Ruth Chaffin.

Private services and burial for Ruby Frances Aldridge, 86, of Norris City will be held in Union Ridge Cemetery near New Haven.  Memorial contributions may be made in Ruby's memory to Hospice of Southern Illinois and will be accepted at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi who is in charge of arrangements.
