Roy Utley, Jr

Roy B. Utley, Jr., of Griffin, IN, went to be with the lord at 4:26 AM, Sunday, May 22, 2005 at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville. He was born September 23, 1932 in Colton, CA, son of Roy B., Sr. and Eldiva Dee (Miller) Utley. Roy touched many lives in his 72 years. He Served his country during the Korean War with the US Navy. Roy was an avid gardener and fisherman and owned and operated Utley Real Estate in Lakeside, California for many years. He was a member of the Church of Christ in Paducah, KY.
Roy is survived by his children, son, Ray Utley and his wife Pam of Mt. Vernon, and their children, Angie, Jason and Travis Utley, his daughter, Cindy Breneman and her husband Bob, of LaFayette, and their children, Robert, Kurtis, Garrett and Emily Breneman and sons, Dennis and David Utley of Evansville; and the mother of his children, Dinah Utley of LaFayette, IN; Funeral services will be held 7:00 PM, Wednesday, May 25, 2005 at Austin Funeral Home, 1330 East Fourth Street Mt. Vernon, IN. Friends may call from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Bellefontaine Cemetery in Mt. Vernon at a later date. Memorial contributions can be made to the Posey County Relay for Life.
