Rowena Neal

Rowena E. Neal, 82, of Carmi, passed away on Wednesday, April 6, 2016 at Wabash Christian Retirement Center in Carmi. She was born in Christopher, IL on December 3, 1933, the daughter of Leonard Earl and Nita (Rose) DeWitt. She was the former director of the White County Ambulance Service and was a member of the First Christian Church in Christopher and a member of the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority. She loved her grandchildren and loved watching them play sports.
Rowena is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Rhonda Mitchell of Carmi and Jann and Glenn Bolerjack of Carmi; five grandchildren, Andrew and Nathan Mitchell, and Brady, Adam, and Cory Bolerjack; and two great-grandchildren, Miley Jo and Allie Nicole.
Private graveside services and burial for Rowena E. Neal, 82, of Carmi, will be held in Masonic and Odd Fellows Cemetery in Benton, IL. Memorial contributions may be made to Wabash Christian Retirement Center Chapel and will be accepted at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi who is in charge of arrangements.
