Rose Price

Rose Price, 76, of Mt. Vernon passed away on Thursday, March 5, 2020 at Park Terrace Village Nursing Home. She was born in Mt. Vernon on July 30, 1943 the daughter of Robert & Roselyn (Guest) Price.

Rose worked as a cook for the Elk’s in Mt. Vernon for many years. She loved spending time with her family. She also like to crochet and would make baby blankets to hand out to loved ones. She was a faithful member of the Dove Chapel Full Baptist Church.

She is survived by her daughter, Marrisa Price; son, John M. Melone; sisters, Evelyn Stewart, Pat Stewart, Sylva Stewart; Host of grandchildren and great grandchildren; niece, Kathy (Bob) Price, Melissa Miller; nephew, Derrick (Tasha) Price

She was preceded in death by her parents, son, Quincy Dale Mount Melone; brothers, Robert Eugene Price and William Melvin Price.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM on Monday, March 9, 2020 at the Stendeback Family Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon with Rev. Richard Pollard and Rev. Randall Landers. Burial will be in Oddfellows Cemetery in Mt. Vernon. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until time of service. In lieu of flowers memorials may be left to the funeral home to help defray cost.
