Roro, as she was affectionately called by her family, lived a long and happy life. She was an avid reader who loved books about the Amish and anything by Nicholas Sparks. One of her joys in life was babysitting for children including many of her own grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and she loved to rock her “babies.” She loved sitting out on her porch swing and watching the hummingbirds each summer. She was an excellent baker and provided her family with countless pies, cakes, and Christmas cookies. She traveled extensively, including visiting places like Hawaii, Alaska, and Panama. Most importantly, she was a Christian and loved to read her Bible.
Funeral services for Rosalene Lamp will be private with burial in Bruce Chapel Cemetery in Carmi. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Rosalene’s memory to Enfield Rehabilitation and Health Care Center and will be accepted at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi who is in charge of arrangements.
