Ronald “Easy” Knight 90 of Crossville, passed away Tuesday morning April 7, 2015 at the home of his daughter. He was born January 15, 1925, the son of Royal T. and Mary (Landingham) Knight. He married Arledia Trout on June 7, 1959 and she preceded him in death on April 9, 1996.
“Easy” had worked at several area filling stations. He had also worked in the oilfield and as a Rural Mail Carrier. He enjoyed riding horses and had riden in the Trail of Tears.
He is survived by his daughter, Darlynn (Jerry) Barbre of Bellmont; sons, Ronald Jr. (Sheryl) Knight of Overland Park, KS, Carl (Rose Ann) Knight of Reidsville, GA, Garrel (Christine) Knight of Grayville and Paul (Teresa) Knight of Browns; twelve grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandaughter, Bryleigh; brothers, Loyal (Gay) Knight, Bertis (Sandra) Knight all of Carmi and Garrel (Judy) Knight of Albion; sisters, Betty Michels of Grayville and Vaneta Jones of Mt. Carmel. He was preceded in death by four brothers, Royal, Vertis, Edward and Wayne; and three sisters, Viola Hawkins, Wilma Woodrow and Ladonna Crackel.
Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. on Saturday at the Stendeback Family Funeral Home in Carmi with graveside services immediately following at Stokes Chapel Cemetery near Crossville. Online condolences may be left at stendebackfamilyfuneralhome.com
