Ronald Foiles

Biography

Ronald David Foiles, 66 of Carrollton, went to heaven to be with the Lord on August 16, 2014 at Boyd Memorial Hospital in Carrollton. He was born March 28, 1948 in Carrollton, the son of Jacob Cecil and Carrie (Brangenberg) Foiles. He married Carolyn Richter on October 24, 1968.

Ronnie had been a farm manager at Pfizer in White Hall. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam war; serving from 1967-1970. He was a member of the Eldred American Legion Post. He loved hunting, fishing, motorcross racing, coaching and watching sports, especially his grandchildren, golf and riding and training horses. He attended the Believers Baptist Church in Carrollton.

He is survived by his wife Carolyn; his son, Trenton (April) Foiles, his daughter, Ronda (Luke) Smith, grandchildren, Jacob and Jerrett Smith, Jarod and Kelsey and Makenzie Foiles, and step grandchildren, Eric, Hannah and Paige Matheny; brothers, Robert and Roger Foiles. He was preceded in death by his parents, and three brothers, Raymond, Ralph and Gerald Foiles.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday August 20, 2014 at Believers Baptist Church south of Carrollton with Pastor Jason Valentin officiating. Visitation will be at the church on Tuesday; where the family will meet friends from 4-8 p.m. Burial will be in Memorial Garden Cemetery in Eldred with military rites being conducted by the Eldred American Legion. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Boyd Memorial Hospital or the Greene County Ambulance Service at Boyd Memorial Hospital.
