Ronald Downen

Ronald Dean Downen, 65, of Decatur, passed away at 11:25 a.m., Tuesday, February 11, 2014 at his residence. He was born on September 9, 1948 in Heralds Prairie Township, IL, the son of Elmer Lee "Bud" and Ada Nell (Aud) Downen. Ronald was retired from McDonald's and was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church in Decatur.
Ronald is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Lavern and Joyce Downen of Decatur; two nieces, Kimberly Kramer and her husband, Craig of Decatur and Amanda Wimmer and her husband, James of Forsyth; a nephew, Craig Downen and his wife, Angie of Freeport; three great nieces and 7 great nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister, Norma Downen.
Funeral services for Ronald Dean Downen, 65, of Decatur, will be held Sunday, February 16, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi. Burial will be in Plainview Cemetery near Norris City. Friends may call on Sunday after 1:00 p.m. until time of service at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi.
