Roberta Wood

Roberta "Bobbie" Wood, 79, of Carmi, passed away on Wednesday, September 2, 2015 at 10:45 p.m. at St. Mary's Warrick Hospital in Boonville, IN. She was born on March 26, 1936 in New Haven, IL, the daughter of Horace and Mona (Ambrose) Stallings. Bobbie married Ted J. Wood on September 29, 1957. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Carmi and the coffee group at Dairy Queen which she enjoyed tremendously.

Bobbie is survived by her husband of 58 years, Ted; a son and daughter-in-law, David and Amy Wood of Allen, TX; a sister, Wilma Louise Reed of Harrisburg; and a special cousins, Melba Knapp of Reno, NV and James Ambrose of New Haven. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral services for Roberta "Bobbie" Wood, 79, of Carmi, will be held on Saturday, September 5, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi with Rev. Luke Raczykowski and Mike Fields officiating. Burial will be in Union Ridge Cemetery in Norris City. Friends may call on Saturday, from 12:00 p.m. until time of service at the funeral home.

Memorial gifts may be given in Bobbie's name to First Baptist Church in Carmi and will be accepted at Campbell Funeral Home.
