Robert Nathan Oxford, 64, of Norris City, passed away at 12:23 p.m., Thursday, December 26, 2019 at Deaconess Midtown Hospital in Evansville, IN. He was born in East Peoria, IL on June 22, 1955. He was raised by his grandparents, Arley Edson and Hattie (Edwards) Oxford. Bob married Betty Sue Belt on June 21, 1975.  He retired in 2001 from GE Plastics in Mt. Vernon, IN where he working in janitorial.  Bob enjoyed playing games on his iPad and Yahtzee.  He loved spending time out fishing.

Bob is survived by his wife, Betty; son, Adam (Stella) Oxford, of Carmi; daughter, Amanda Oxford, of Eldorado; daughter-in-law, Polly Oxford of Carmi; brother, David Lass of Taylorville, IL; three sisters, Carolyn Morrow, Glenda Severns of Washington, IL and Ann McFall of Florida; four grandchildren, Javier Charles Nathan Oxford, Brieanna Marie and Sebastian Lee Oxford and Daniel Wayne Duncan; and Sarah and Daniel Grondin of Carmi who were like children to him. He was preceded in death by his parents and his son, Robert Lee Oxford.

A celebration of life for Robert Nathan "Bob" Oxford will be held from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m., Sunday, February 9, 2020 at the United Methodist Church in Norris City.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Bob's memory to Campbell Funeral Home to assist the family with funeral expenses. Campbell Funeral Home in Norris City is in charge of arrangements.
