Bob Leffingwell, 69 of Carmi, IL passed away on Thursday August 29, 2013. He was born February 23, 1944 in Hardin County the son of Lenora and Buck Leffingwell. On November 23, 1973 he married the love of his life, Charlene Shelton, who survives.


Bob was a loving husband, father, uncle, brother and friend who always had a smile. He and his wife Charlene drove as team truck drivers across country for many years and had their own trucking company Keshill Express.


In addition to his wife, he is survived by three daughters and sons in law, Denise & Mark Traxler, Eldorado, IL, Lori & Derron Tapp, Italy, TX, and Krystal & Sherman Hedgepath, Chester, SC. Grandchildren Keshia Banks, Hillary & Jacob Traxler, Dustin Johnson, Kayla & Preston Hedgepath, & Zach Mercer. Great Grandchildren Austin & Kinzey Banks. Brother and Sister in law Randy & Carolyn Leffingwell, Sister in law and brother in law Gail & Rodger Renshaw. Nieces and Nephews Gene & Donna Leffingwell, David, Crystal, Christinia & Zachary Blake as well as his beloved dog Gunner. He also leaves many cousins and close family friends to cherish his memory.
He is proceeded in death by his parents and sister Brenda Leffingwell.


A Celebration of Bob's life will be held at 1 p.m. on Sunday September 1, 2013 at the Stendeback Family Funeral Home in Carmi. Friends and family are asked to bring stories and memories to share during this time. Burial will be in N. Maple Ridge Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-6 p.m. On Saturday at the funeral home.
