Robert Garrison

Robert Lee Garrison, age 56 of Mt. Carmel, died Wednesday morning November 14, 2012 at his home in Mt. Carmel. He was born April 15, 1956 in Fairfield, IL, the son of Raymond Lee and Evelyn (Richardson) Garrison.

Robert had worked as a machinist for many years before he retired. He was a veteran of the United States Marines.

He is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Jason and Amber Garrison of Owensville, IN and Scott Garrison of Mt. Carmel; three grandchildren, Dakota, Tucker and Austin Garrison; two brothers and sister-in-law, Donald and Linda Hall of Carmi and Charles Garrison (Linda Garrison) of Corbin, KY; two sisters and brother-in-law, Theresa Tharp of Carmi and Wanda and John Money of Norris City; a step-son, Andrew York of Newburgh, IN, several nieces and nephews also survive.

He is preceded in death by his parents, and one sister, Phyllis Melton.

A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. on Tuesday November 20, 2012 at the Fort Branch General Baptist Church in Ft. Branch, IN. The Stendeback Family Funeral Home in Carmi is in charge of arrangements. Online condolences may be left at stendebackfamilyfuneralhome.com
