Robert Duvall

Robert Louis "Bob" Duvall, 79, of Carmi, passed away at 5:11 a.m., Thursday, January 11, 2018 at his residence. He was born in Carmi on December 9, 1938 the son of William Robert and Callie Dona (Hayes) Duvall. Bob married Patsy Ellen Moore on August 12, 1959 and she preceded him in death on February 26, 2007. He later married Inez Marie (Wade) Koker on July 14, 2007.  Bob was a US Army veteran serving from 1955-1959. He was the Carmi Township Road Commissioner and had previously worked in the oilfield for John Schofield Oil Company.  He was a member of Stewart Street Baptist Church and attended Kingdom Baptist Church and Ditney Ridge Baptist Church.

Bob is survived by his wife Inez Duvall; two daughters, Diana (Ferrell) Anderson and Jami (Josh) Tucker, both of Carmi; step son, Arthur (Debbie) Koker, of Martin, TN; two step daughters, Angela (Marty) Carter, of Enfield and Debbie (Dennis) Ruschel, of Claysville, PA; three brothers, Elmer (Martha) Duvall, of Calvin, Wilkie (Sonnie) Duvall, of Galatia and Gus (Sue) Duvall, of Enfield; two sisters, Helen (Bob) Davis, of Chicago, IL, Loretta (Robert) Pollard, of Carmi; nine grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, six step grandchildren and six step great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Callie Duvall, his daughter, Julie Melton, two brothers, Frank and Gaston Duvall, four sisters, Vivian Dortch, Edna McCluskey, Gladys and Pauline Duvall and a grandson, Brent Thomas.

Funeral service for Robert Louis "Bob" Duvall, 79, of Carmi will be held at 10:30 a.m, on Monday, January 15, 2018 at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi. Burial will be in Kingdom Cemetery in Carmi with Military Rites by Carmi VFW and American Legion. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 14, 2018 at Campbell Funeral Home. Memorial contribution's may be made in Bob's memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and will be accepted at Campbell Funeral Home.
