Robert Doming

Robert L. "Bob" de Doming, 74, of Mt. Vernon, IN passed away Friday, February 17, 2012 at 10:112 am at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, IN. He was born May 12, 1937 in Boston, MA., the son of Frederick and Ada Margaret (Alguire) de Doming. Bob married Joanne Tervo on June 22, 1963 and she preceded him in death on August 15, 2005. He then married Virginia Lynn (French) Hansman on July 1, 2006. Bob was a U.S. Marine Corp veteran. He graduated from Boston University and had worked as an underwriter for American General.

Bob is survived by his wife of 5 years, Jenny of Mt. Vernon, IN; a daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer and Jason Barnes of Washington, IN; a son and daughter-in-law, Jeff and Debra de Doming of Louisville, KY; two step-daughters and sons-in-law, Tammy and Chris Schneider and Jan and James Fishback all of Carmi; a stepson and daughter-in-law, Lee and Cindy Elliott of Grayville; a sister, Sylvia Cotter of Leomister, MA; three grandchildren, 9 step-grandchildren and five step-great-grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by a step-son, John Wayne Hansman, Jr.

Funeral Services for Robert L. "Bob" de Doming, 74, of Mt. Vernon, IN will be Monday, February 20, 2012 at 1:30pm at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi with Rev. Kevin Petty officiating. Burial will be in Kuykendall Cemetery in Carmi with Military Rites by the Carmi VFW and American Legion. Friends may call at the Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi on Sunday from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
