Robert L. Cashion, age 77 of Mount Vernon, IN. died June 16, 2008 in Evansville, IN. Robert was born February 6, 1931 in Raus, TN.

Robert and Mary Alice (Waller) have 4 children. Robert and wife Martie of Newburgh, In. Richard and wife Connie of Kingsport, TN. Linda “Dianne” and husband Joe Wintner of Mt. Vernon, IN. Debra Ann Guffey and husband Tony of New Harmony, IN. There are 13 Grandchildren, and 13 Great grandchildren, He has brothers Russell “Jr.” of Antioch, TN. , Billy and wife Clara, of Cedar Hills, TN. Donald and wife Sue of Nashville, TN.

Robert worked at Pemco Products as a Lab and Sales Tech. He served in the Army during the Korean War and was a member of the Polar Bear Unit. He was a member of the Mt. Vernon Lions Club and a past president. Since 2- 20- 1974 he was the longest living open heart bypass patient in the Evansville area. Robert operated Power Tool Enterprises in Mt. Vernon. He loved to play the guitar and loved all Bluegrass music. He was a member of the Church of Christ in Mt. Vernon.
