Robert Breeden
May 29, 1939 — June 11, 2017
Robert Dean Breeden, 78 of Mount Vernon, passed away Sunday June 11, 2017 at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville. He was born May 25, 1939 in Norris City, IL the son of Sherman and Eva (Bryant) Breeden. He married Brenda Ricketts on July 30, 1960 and she preceded him in death on June 29, 2012.
Robert retired from the Posey County Highway Department. He was a veteran of the United States Army.
He is survived by sisters and brothers, Rebecca (Leon) Brandenberger, Twylah (Jeff) Moye, William (Tammy) Ricketts and Jamie Ricketts and Vina Ramer; also survived by several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Brenda; brothers and sisters, Marion, James and Eddie Breeden, Mary Burgess and Betty Woods; half brothers and sisters, Lois Kirk, Edna Mae Cartmill, Ludeen Hogan and Paul Breeden.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday June 14, 2017 at the Stendeback Family Funeral Home at 1330 E. 4th St., Mt. Vernon. Visitation will be one hour prior to services. Burial will be in Bellefontaine Cemetery. Online condolences may be left at stendebackfamilyfuneralhome.com
