Robert Atteberry

Robert H. “Bob” Atteberry, age 63, of Carmi, passed away Monday, September 17, 2012, at his home. He was born December 11, 1948 in Harrisburg, the son of Charles H. and Jeanne (Mick) Atteberry. He married Nancy Maday in November of 1988 in Henderson, KY and she survives.

Bob was a field technician for Superior, Mobil and Exxon Mobil. He was a life member of the Carmi V.F.W, as well as a member of the Carmi American Legion and the Carmi Elks. He was an Army Vietnam veteran. He loved his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Nancy; two sons and daughters-in-law, Brian H. and Amy Atteberry of Carmi and Brad and Angie McConnell of Booneville; a daughter, Tera Ashley of Booneville; seven grandchildren; an aunt and uncle, Susie and Lowell Roser and numerous cousins.

A celebration of life will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday September 22, 2012 at the Stendeback Family Funeral Home in Carmi. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until time of services. Military rites will be conducted by the Carmi American Legion and V.F.W. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Pets at Risk and the American Cancer Society.
