Robert Alldredge

Robert E. Alldredge, 72, died on February 13, 2013 at Baptist Health in Madisonville, KY. He was born on December 22, 1940 in Clark County, IN, the son of Merle J. and Alice Louise (Baldwin) Alldredge. He married Judith E. Reich on June 12, 1960.

Mr. Alldredge was a Fire Chief at GE for 35 years before his retirement. He served as a past Mt. Vernon City Commissioner and helped implement the Alert Emergency System. He served in the National Guard.

In addition to his wife of 53 years, Judy, he is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Jason Robert and Kelli Alldredge of Mt. Vernon; a daughter and son-in-law, Jody and David Todd of Madisonville, KY; four grandchildren, Joshua and Angela Todd, Justin Alldredge and Austin Hutchison; one great-grandchild, Karsen Hutchison; and a sister and brother-in-law, Joyce and Bruce Rath of Macedonia, Illinois. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. on Saturday, February 16, 2013 at Stendeback Family Funeral Home, 1330 E. 4th St., Mt. Vernon. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be in Beech Grove Cemetery. Online condolences may be left at stendebackfamilyfuneralhome.com
