Rita Moss

Rita A. Moss, 69, of Enfield passed away Thursday, September 13, 2012 at 7:10pm at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, IN. She was born March 23, 1943 in Evansville, IN the daughter of Clayton Victor and Marie Heressa (Butler) Thomas. Rita married John William "Bill" Moss on October 22, 1977 and he preceded her in death on May 22, 2011. Rita had worked as a CNA at Wabash Christian Retirement Center, was a team truck driver with her husband, Bill and most recently was a housewife and caregiver for her mother. She was a member of Lighthouse Baptist Church in Harrisburg and attended Old Sharon Church in Norris City where she was a board member and president of the Friends of Old Sharon.

Rita is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Anita and Jerry Peyton of Enfield; two granddaughters, Riley and Rachel Peyton; two step-grandchildren, Shelby and Jarod Peyton; and nieces , Linda Howard, Marie Gangard and Cherrie Singer.

She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Marita Ellis, a sister, Delores June Inboden Blake; nieces Gloria Taylor, Charolet Inboden and a nephew Charles V. Inboden.

Funeral Services for Rita A. Moss, 69, of Enfield will be Sunday, September 16, 2012 at 2:00 pm at Campbell Funeral Home in Norris City with Brother Loy Barger officiating. Burial will be Old Sharon Cemetery near Norris City. Friends may call at the Campbell Funeral Home on Sunday after 12:00 pm until service time. Memorial Contributions may be made to Old Sharon Church and will be accepted at the funeral home.
