Rita Denning

Rita L Denning, 54 of Mount Vernon, IN passed away on Monday March 10, 2014 at Deaconess Hospice in Evansville. She was born July 17, 1959 at Mt. Vernon, the daughter of Leslie and Marge (Brazier) Cox. She Married Michael Denning on April 1, 1978

She was a home maker, a devoted Wife, Mother, and Mamaw. She loved spending time with her family and grandchildren.

Rita is survived by her husband of 36 years, Michael Denning; her children, Bill Denning (Kari), of Mt. Vernon; Sara Wright (Steve) of Birdseye; Tara Denning (Chris Neaveill) of Poseyville; and Charlie Denning (Skylar) of Mt. Vernon; 5 Grandchildren, Kaiden, Ava, Reagan, Jaylie, and Kendall. Her mother Margie Cox; 5 brothers, Kenny Cox (Ann), Ronnie Cox (Linda Rawlins), Dale Cox (Hank), Darryl Cox (Sharon),Terry Cox (Rose Crum), and a sister Doris Barker (Mitch) all of Mt. Vernon; she is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

She was proceeded in death by her father, Leslie Cox; and her brothers, Charles and Steve Cox.

Funeral Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday March 14, 2014 at the Point Township Church of the Nazarene, with Rev. Troy DeKemper and Rev. Dallas Robinson officiating. Burial will be in Weiss Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3-8 p.m. on Thursday also at the church. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at the Deaconess ICU 3900 ward and Hospice Care 3200 ward. Memorials are suggested to the Point Township Church of the Nazarene.
