Rickey "Rick" Steed

Rickey "Rick" Allen Steed, 64, of Crossville, passed away on Saturday, December 11, 2021.  He was born on July 27, 1957, in Carmi, Illinois, the son of Hugh and Madeline (Hillyard) Steed. Rick worked in lawn maintenance, and mowed lawns for others in his community. He enjoyed fishing and antiquing. He was a member of Maunie First Church of God.

Rick is survived by his siblings, Tammy (Roy Owen) Ireland of Crossville, IL, Jason Steed of Crossville, IL, Kay (Ron) Hagen of Oklahoma City, OK, and Daphne (Rick) Webb of Maunie, IL, and numerous nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents, and three siblings, Michael Hayden, Butch Steed, and Carmen Stanley.

Funeral services for Rick Steed will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 15, 2021, at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi  with burial at Kuykendall Cemetery in Carmi.  Family and friends may visit from 10:00 a.m. until time of service on Wednesday, December 15, 2021.   Contributions can be made in Rick's memory to the American Heart Association, and will be accepted at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi, who is in charge of arrangements.
